AI Overviews now answer nearly all People Also Ask results
Two independent trackers report Google’s People Also Ask boxes are now almost entirely answered by AI Overviews. AlsoAsked, analyzing 19.2 million English-language queries, found 97% of PAA answers in the first week of September 2026 were AI Overviews, up from 86% in August; Allintitle separately measured 100% as of August, per Search Engine Roundtable. Both trackers put the figure at roughly 12% about 14 months earlier, around July 2025.
Why it matters: People Also Ask was one of the last major SERP features AI Overviews hadn't fully absorbed; its near-total conversion signals Google is running out of result types to leave untouched.
