Two independent trackers report Google's People Also Ask boxes are now almost entirely answered by AI Overviews. AlsoAsked, analyzing 19.2 million English-language queries, found 97% of PAA answers in the first week of September 2026 were AI Overviews, up from 86% in August; Allintitle separately measured 100% as of August, per Search Engine Roundtable. Both trackers put the figure at roughly 12% about 14 months earlier, around July 2025.

Why it matters: People Also Ask was one of the last major SERP features AI Overviews hadn't fully absorbed; its near-total conversion signals Google is running out of result types to leave untouched.
